I don't know if I agree w/ changing LW to be built from a sword. So many things already build from a sword, and pickaxe loses out on use.

It works for the defensive items. I wouldn't mind it to be honest. Blasting wand would have to get the same treatment though.

Fuck up with masteries, hit Maokai himself? Good track record for these priorities.
(Plus removing the ability to snipe these pesky people running with 10 HP is a travesty, I'm telling you!)

REMOVED FAT SAPLINGS Saplings no longer deal damage when they land (they still draw jungle monster aggro)
Ffs they're removing sapling touchdown kills. First they say they want to make tank kits deeper in the upcoming tank update and then they proceed to make Maokai even more braindead by removing the ability to make plays with saplings. Why can't they just nerf his ult or passive slightly so he won't outperform tanky tops not named Nautlius or Poppy so hard in teamfights?
I know landing saplings didn't do much damage but my problem is with making an already simple champion even simpler.

It actually removes the possibility to one-shot ranged minions with maxed out saplings, since they didn't move the damage back onto the explosion. It doesn't matter as much since he tends to max q now, but still.

There's no item that Blasting Wand builds into that doesn't have an Amp Tome in it outside of Rageblade. It's kind of why IE is such a shit item to build. It has a bunch of very boring pieces that don't do a lot for you until you put it all together.

Oh God. If the Doran's Shield change + Show Spoiler +Total cost lowered from 450 to 400 Health increased from 80 to 100. Health regen changed from [6 health per 5 seconds] to [100% base health regen] [new] UNIQUE Passive: Gain an additional 200% Base Health Regen Health for 10 seconds after taking damage from an enemy champion. [new] Passive: Deal 5 bonus physical damage to minions. [removed] UNIQUE Passive: Blocks 8 damage from single target attacks and spells from champions. on PBE goes through Heimerdinger is going to be so stupid.

That new Doran's Shield looks like a mini Spectre's Cowl, have a feeling we're going to see it being run in mid lane on champs like Kata. Idk why Riot thinks the item needed to be changed in a meta where the likes of Mao, Poppy and Naut are already strong.

That's pretty much spot on imo. Mao was fine until the new masteries this season and the lethality changes, also sapling changes are hilariously unnecessary.

ew I hate that doran shield change. Looked great until I saw the passive removed, which is literally the only reason you ever niche buy it top for stuff like nasus vs jayce, kennen, etc to mitigate their autos early.
I have absolutely no idea how you get by in those lanes now if that goes through

they already announced mao will be reworked with mid season tank update so those nerfs are just temporary fix

It's a small tap hoping it'll make the truck hurt less then. Don't go around reworking my old school champs, losing the sapling snipes is already flavour fail :f

I must be missing something here, but: why does everyone say that ADCs are in a bad spot when teams routinely draft 3 ADC comps with no tanks?
Sure, bot lane ADC doesn't have a lot of variety, but that has always been true since the dawn of man. What I mean is, if this really were a bad ADC meta, why are we seeing so much Graves jungle / Corki mid?

Because:
#1. Corki is not an ADC anymore. He is a traditional midlane caster. #2. Graves is not an ADC anymore. He is a traditional jungle AD bruiser with slightly higher range. #3. The popular botlane "AD" champions are utility-focused, and 2/3 (Jihn/Varus) are also more caster than auto-attack champions. (3/4 if you include Ezreal)
If people were going Jungle Twitch, Mid Ashe, Botlane Vayne/Cait/Sivir, your rebuttal would make sense. As is, its just you categorizing champions incorrectly.
