Welcome to this patch's General Discussion thread for the League of Legends subforum. This thread is for discussion around League of Legends. Free feel to talk about anything LoL related here that does not already have its own thread.
I like they buffed Hecarim and got his E knockup larger. Jarvan ult now does AoE damage to all trapped champs, that's a nice mini buff as well. I don't understand those Pantheon nerfs, anyone from Riot had a bad experience in solo queue game? Sejuani buffs <3 Still not as big as expected. Guardian Angel buffs, pretty good.
Now after I've watched Sols ability video I think he will be super competetive.
Passive that does dmg.
Q has a stun + deals a pretty good amount of damage 70/110/150/190/230 (+.65 AP) magic damage and a 1/1.25/1.50/1.75/2 second stun (nice scaling + stun)
W is so, so but the range is important so you can hit running back/flashed out enemies.
E is travel across the obstacles, so nice for ganks.
R is like Vel'koz ult but a single hit + a knockback + a good slow and scales nice - " 200/300/400 (+ .7 AP) magic damage and slowing by 60/70/80%, decaying over 4 seconds.
Seems pretty decent to me.
Haha and what are those new skins? Meowkai, Draven Draven, Urf Kench and Definitely not Vel'koz, LOL

Champ will be tanky support or unplayed. Champ will be very bad barring broken numbers.
Champ is a worse version of Galio.
What a super premature statement. Not sure if troll. He's been out for less than 12 hrs. But anyway. He's definitely going to be hard to place in a lane and even harder to play in competitive. I think he definitely has unique utility, but he might be useless in this metagame where everything is only valuable based on it's relationship to sieging earlygame. Maybe his waveclear will be sufficient enough to make him playable, we'll see.
As an aside, I doubt games will become any less stagnant than they are right now with these changes. IEM proves that playing w/ the same siege champs is really the only viable way to play this game right now at the highest level (slumping SKT sweeps lol), and I really dont see anything in this patch to change that. Early turret hp still matters way too much. At best we will see J4 or Hec + 1 or 2 random other champs (Kennen, Orianna?) get added into the meta pool by my personal prediction. Otherwise we still gonna have Corki Lux shitfests mid lane. Corki still does all the things they used to complain he did (hypercarry level damage with no risk). Cait is going to become more relevant with Kalista changes.
No reason to pick vayne, twitch, fizz, irelia, riven, draven, Xerath, veig, Yasuo, Kass or Cass. All because they'd get shoved into their turret early, lose it then get snowballed on because of their poor waveclear or ability to rotate or inherent risk to pick (why pick Xer when you can pick Corki and do more damage with valk for safety?).
Id personally love to see some of them come back just to lighten things up a bit and give me some dynamic gameplay to watch again, but those seasonal changes really blunted things man. :/

Lux is the 9th most picked champion in the game She's super popular, mostly because all he preseason changes made her the best generalist pick in the game (lowest risk, highest return) outside of maybe Kalista (or on 5.4 Sivir). She sees tons of play in pro circuits too (for lux ofc).
Again not sure if serious, I thought you already knew this, you being the Lux expert and all.
his initiation looks insane after seeing some gameplay videos
the only question is where he can be played. if he can jungle I think he'll be very strong. just build tanky and be a crazy initiator with consistent damage.
not sure about lane. seems too vulnerable vs gapclosers and ganks with his perma pushing.
