Is 10 base damage on Cass E really that big? It's a nice buff for early, but she is subsceptible to the endless gank mid meta we see right now, so it doesn't solve her real problem.
Agree with the Kennen Syndra sentiment though, those are big numbers. 33% mana reduction on Q for Syndra lv 1 is insane.
Akshan seems pretty busted as On-Hit... Higher single target DPS and bonkers cleave damage with Hurricane, doesn't have the same one million damage ultimate tho.
The issue I have with the new overloaded champs (I dont think every new champ is overloaded but mostly they are) is that Riot doesnt hold back on numbers to compensate their rich kits. Sooner or later (immediately or after a patch or few) they are capable of trading equally or even favorably with the champs with lesser kits and at the end the new kids just have more, they can do more.
Riot has stated that they like releasing champs with overloaded kits/numbers and then nerfing them into a balanced state, if only because the player base will play them a lot so they can collect a lot of data. That said, Akshan has so many interactions in his kit that he basically has an answer to everything, so there's no real skill ceiling. Imo, expect to see the champ being heavy PB priority in pro play at Worlds, especially if Riot decides to sneak in a buff before people know how to play him. Which is not unlikely, since atm he's sporting a 30% winratio, he might get the Gwen treatment, who got a hotfix before pros could even pick her.
Akshan doesn't really feel broken from a numbers perspective, more so just a mechanic that is dumb.
The passive is pretty bonkers in ARAM though. My team was winning for literally the whole game, and it took us 30 minutes to win even with a good kill lead. We'd go 4 for 1, and then end up in a 4v3.

Yeah, it's super OP on ARAM, Akshan doesn't actually have to do anything except grab a few assists every team fight and he will be highest impact champ on the map. I've seen him pop off in a lot of games, but he loses so many of those games I can't actually tell if he's good or not.
I think he is hampered by having such a big kit, Riot hasn't given him a real identity and most of his abilities are clunky just to prevent him from being a godlike all rounder.
I'm just still salty they didn't take the opportunity to show some of the real badasses in action. Viego is the Ruined King for crying out loud. Where's champions like Soraka? Bard? An ascended? Yorick/Hecarim/Mordekaiser?!
Hell at least use Viego to let Jax finally meet someone worthy to use a real weapon against.
Lucian, Senna and Gwen are the only of the "good" characters I find believable in the story. The rest are 100% only picked because of their popularity. It's a lore event, use the fucking lore to pick the 'heroes'.
Use someone like Aurelion Sol or The Void to show how insignificant the mortals of Runeterra and Viego's love actually are in the grand scheme of things. The event turned out to be a boring generic Hollywood story. Disappointing.
Idk why Riot didn't make it so that Akshan can't revive people when he's dead. It feels pretty dumb when you blow up multiple people, including Akshan, but because the remaining enemies manage to focus you down they can just go 'hur dur we lost 3 ppl in a fight but Akshan revive means we are now 4vs4' when Akshan ran it down at the start. Seen it so often on ARAM now, very dumb that the only counter is 'don't die for 25 seconds'. Really punishes bruisers who yolo in, kill 2+ people and sacrifice themselves to win the teamfight.

yeah the assist revive is even dumber than the revive on kills. Actually reviving only on kills could be even balance-able
