I'm a bit worried about the dragon changes.
Big emphasis on drag, even if it spawns at 5min, will mean that early game power will be extremely strong, and snowball pretty freaking hard.

Would be extremely counterintuitive compared to the rest of the summoners which are all available instantly. They should delete it and make it an item.

I thought he was fine lol - Aatrox still cancer, if you've never played him with Ghostblade, you're missing out because he can kill you from half a screen away. -Guinsoo ---> Kayle is set for a comeback - Vision being nerfed even harder???? - Ffs stop touching turret stats, this throws the meta completely out of whack - Most drakes buffed, that's scary

Wait... so they hard nerfed jungle early xp, then "compensated" with extra scaling xp during mid season so we weren't lower level than supports, and now they're just hard nerfing jungle xp? That's a 10% drop at level 7 which hits at like 15 minutes for the first camp. I guess it depends on how hard that scales moves, but could push jungle from position 2/3 to hard locked position 4. Especially on top of them nerfing all the top keystones for Junglers at the same time.
And then they buffing towers and drakes. Longer laning phase and more important drakes. A further push away from scaling jungles.

Take a look at how much MS he gets from his ultimate, it's ludicrous when stacked with something else.Played against a jungle Aatrox who would hit Ghostblade the moment he saw me (Ashe), and my slow wasn't enough to keep him away. It's almost a mini-predator out of combat.

Didn't a bunch of champions get flat armor (or flat ad, I don't remember) when Riot removed the old runes? Now we have that AND the option get an additional +10 armor or +20 adaptive force. Poor minions, they stand no chance now!

Dark Harvest is hilariously OP on certain champs in ARAM though, but yeah it appears to suck for Summoners Rift.

Taliyah is utter garbage in the jungle after the nerfs. Feels even worse in lane; literally takes 2 Qs to kill a melee minion. LOL. Her first clear is legit trash tier, your single target sucks and you take so much damage doing aoe camps without ap.
Nerfs feel as bad as them removing Eve stun back in the day. Just... bleh. Feels like your only choice earlygame is to run either the korean predator style clear (red>golem>wraiths>early buy; not sure if running predator and getting boots+pink or getting dark seal with electrocute is better. Predator might be legit) or do some real cheesy lvl2 invades, else your earky game is garbage. Either way it's super nerfed.
You know your first clear is bad when it feels worse than Pantheon's.

She can't lane at all. Lol. Q doesn't even clear casters in current state. I cannot think of a single champion with less shoving potential.

I've actually discovered what to use Dark Harvest for: It's pretty strong on AP poke champions like Vel, Lux, Zyra, especially the latter. Not unreasonable to get 3-4k dmg lategame out of it, and it doesn't stop scaling. It's been stupidly designed because it procs on everything, from Zyra plants to Darius passive to Swain ult.

Something like that, yeah. Unlike all the other damage dealing runes, DH doesn't really have a trigger condition, it's essentially free damage for anyone. Almost every other strong rune in the game has specific conditions that are not open to everyone, like triple AA for Press the Attack. Watching streamers today, I've seen cheese like AP Sona doing 3/4 of an ADC's health with her combo in the lategame, and entire teams going DH because it's incredibly strong when stacked.
If they nerf the early game, the rune will just suck. They need to completely rewrite the ability from scratch, because it's so poorly thought out.

Jungle feels kinda nasty right now, but it could just be a playstyle thing, because I'm kinda greedy jungler.
Feels like you have to get kills or you just can't carry. I played earlier as Shy and buddy wasted a lot of time so I managed to cycle his red side 3 straight times. I shoulda been so far ahead from Farming, but I was nearly 2 levels behind solo laners.
Feels like just farming doesn't get you a whole lot. But then hard ganking risky as hell with new shutdown mechanics. Game feels bad this patch. maybe its placements, idk.

Ive figured out what i don't like; i no longer feel like i have any semblance of control on Game pacing as a jungler. Not sure if that's just a feeling, but it feels like you're hamstrung on what you can accomplish till tower plating falls, then you're instantly pigeonholed into groupings once it hits 14 minutes or you lose all your towers instantly.
You can't purposefully prolong lane phase, you can't knock towers early and get your vayne away from the Cait.
It feels very inorganic and forced. 14minutes is this huge toggle point between your actions feeling relatively meaningless to suddenly one small error by one player means an inhib falls because towers are useless and minions are super super strong. And once an inhib falls, due to minion buffs and tower nerfs you need a full time nexus baby sitter because 1 super minion can kill both your nexus towers... then you're bleeding stronger drakes / more frequent barons / towers because they're much much weaker than before.
Then you add back in smite Midlaners returning with the funneling, and the general clusterfuckery that is NA preseason... yeah i think I'm done for this patch. Bleh.

Yeah, this is exactly the problem with the rune, it's a reset for... everyone? Doesn't feel right when Swain can blow everyone up standing next to them just because you're support inted. Best soloQ rune without a doubt.

Feels like correct way to play jungle right now kinda comes down to the following:
Pre-14: 1. Drake 2. Sellout for Turret Plating 3. Farm any camp that gets you catch-up XP.
Post-14: 1. Do everything possible so your team doesn't make the first mistake. 2. Same as before pre-season changes.
Jungler feels like a glorified support with less innate impact ("agency", to use a riot buzzword) and less guaranteed farm. So... I guess I'm spamming Pyke/Fiddle/Bard support. LOL.

Agreed on Zyra. The way they make the plants feel dumb I'd probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen. If they were to strong, fine, nerf the damage. Nah, instead they give the plants ADHD with a hyperfocus on minions.

I think she's still fun but the plants do feel very awkward. Rito pls revert, if reverting Leblanc was fine then Zyra should be fine too.

Ok. Even post nerfs Dark Harvest in ARAM is so stupid on AoE champions just had a game where it did 5000 damage in 14 minutes on Swain. Seems fair.

Dark Harvest has always been busted in ARAM. People just for some reason didn't take it on almost everyone.

Yes, it's always been pretty broken, but it's really bad right now. They nerfed the numbers a few patches ago just for ARAM I think, but this rework completely nullifies that.
That said, there's a few other stupidly broken runes on ARAM. Biggest hidden OP is Presence of Mind, I've gotten 4 ults off in the first 10 minutes with Karthus because of it. By lv 16 his ult is on 1 min or less if the enemy team isn't crushing you. Not to mention it also means you can ignore mana heavy builds and still endlessly throw out abilities. And the stacking Domination runes can be maxed very quickly.

Presence of Mind has always been just as silly as any iteration of Dark Harvest, it basically make any mana based champion resourceless and have mega short ult cooldown.
EDIT: Anivia can appearently proc Dark Harvest with her wall....

Yup, for ARAM it's domination primary + presence of mind on mana champs or triumph on no mana champs. Even on some no mana champs presence of mind is too good. The fact that it's two runes in one makes it so good.

Things I like about this patch:
1. Turret plating 2. Runes 3. Dragon buffs
Things I don't like about this patch:
1. Funnel-comp's return 2. Shield Bash 3. Viktor 4. Preseason
Viktor is for sure the big outlier this patch with klepto/shield bash. So unfun to play against. Some of the other stuff is hard to get a read on with people playing so stupidly. Still feel like the way bounties works is too harsh.

I like turret plating, but the fact that turrets become so flimsy after 15 minutes is a bit weird.
Also agree with Viktor, Bwipo showing us the new OP top laner, because I legit did 0 dmg to him as a fed Lucian. And he's still viable in mid, so you never know what it's going to be.

To be honest the only thing I hate in this patch (and a ton before) is Demolish. It's WAY too easy for tanks to just stonewall perma push and take towers with it. Yes, I'm a dirty demolish abuser too.

I just experienced this yesterday, I didn't even notice Cait had Grasp until the end of the game. I was legit wondering why she was at full health the entire laning phase, she just brain dead pushed and there was nothing we could do to stop it. Basically what she's always done, but on steroids.
Just did 8.2k @ 30min Dark Harvest dmg with Xerath in ARAM, this rune is hilarious.

I got a survey from Riot today that both asked me I how much time I play games pc / console / phone then later asked me if I find the fact that league is only available on pc “frustrating”

I've gotten two surveys in the last month or two that asked similar questions. One of them was really long.
They're working on more than one game and I think it's safe to say at least one of them is mobile.

I mean to be fair any game company looking to turn a profit should be looking at mobile but I’m definitely not their target audience.

PC gamers are almost no one's market now. Mobile gamers are, for lack of a better phrase, easy AF to milk. Its really an indictment of Riot that they don't have a game like Hearthstone already available on mobile using their IP. They'd be making enough on that mobile game that they could buy Phreak a new vest of gold ringmail every week.

I mean Tencent legit made a copy of League on mobile (Honor of Kings) and it's probably the biggest game in the entire world. Estimated player base of around 200 million people and it makes MAD BANK.
Riot really missed that boat and in general were very lax with spending on expansion of their extremely popular IP because they didn't want to "dilute" it.

There's a reliable market for PC gaming. The profit margin isn't as high but it's still profits. Companies are trying to see how far they can push micro transactions into PC gaming and lure PC gamers into their mobile games at the same time.
200million users is insane. That market isn't available for a traditional PC game of any type.

PC people are sleeping on the player bases of mobile gaming. It's only going to get bigger as more and more people get access to phones and phones being the primary internet connected device of the developing world. Those emerging middle classes are completely untapped markets, and almost all of them will probably never touch a true PC in their life.

Teemo was actually the original reason I started playing Karthus top, cant remember who but years ago some toplane streamer (Wings?) mentioned that if you have issues vs Teemo just pick a mage.

Also competing to get more dark harvest stacks than your teammates is more fun than the actual game.

Karthus hasn't been meta for so long that people legit forgot what he does. There's a big section of the playerbase that has never played against Karthus consistently enough. Played some diamond games and a guy said in all chat: "I forgot about Karthus passive lol"

Camille has been a problem since release in the sense that she never really has been balanced with the old bruisers. Its only when other champs get updates (Irelia and Aatrox) that she had any competition. Which just means they never punished her numbers properly given her massive utility and mobility.

You know what, after really hating the shutdown gold changes for a while, I've change my mind. Maybe its just a preseason people trolling thing and getting lucky with teams, but I just carried three straight games harder than I ever carried before solely off of a few big shutdowns in a row.
We're talking like Most Damage, most CS, most Gold, most objective damage, most vision score, most damage taken, most kills, least deaths, most assists. The one game my bottom lane was 0/24 at the 15 minute mark. Reminds me of the kind of hard solo carries you could pull off snowballing in S1 where you could nearly straight DotA style 1v9. Feels like if you're the best player in the game you can straight hard carry like 80% of the time, compared to maybe 60% of the time before.
But like i said, could just be preseason fiesta's turning my way the last little bit instead of the other way. idk. Sample size is low.
