Think it's funny how they made a big deal about new runes, which were largely just new masteries and trashed rune altogether, not to soft re-add runes a year later.
So, the best version of the Victorious Ori skin is the one for Gold+ in 3 ranked queues and OCE has Ranked 3s only open at certain times which i can't really play at zz. Why wouldn't they make it open 24/7 for the last two weeks...
So tank Pyke will always be the better option because of his utility right? Like his kit will always make it worth going tank no?
EDIT: MAYBE the changes make him an assassin jungler instead of a support if the numbers favor lethality heavily, but I don't see tank Pyke support ever not being the best option for support Pyke

I could see lethality support Pyke work if (big if) you have a super heavy dive comp, so he can enter the fight later sort of like how Katarina wants to skirt around. The biggest issue with non-tank Pyke is that the tanky support items are honestly just too cost efficient to not get on the melee supports imo.
Lethality Pyke+Draven would be such a much fun botlane I hope the changes make non-tank Pyke work.

Phreak did the math on the changes if you're interested. For me, jungler pyke will never work and if by some miracle it does, Riot will instanerf it.
These Nunu changes don’t address his problem at all which is that they shifted so much of his power into a meme ability. For the first time I can remember an ability (e) was both converted to a skill shot and made weaker with reduced range and significantly more conditional utility. His best late game ability was gutted to make it weak enough to be a passive and his passive which was probably fine to get rid of for the most part does remove his huge lvl 6 power spike.
Outside of him getting significantly over buffed I can’t see a reason to pick him ever, Ivern does his old job better and Nautilus does his new job better(cc bot?)
Legit the only thing I can think of is full ap biggest snowball ever YouTube videos.

Yup, his design is interesting as a concept but its pretty irrelevant to high levels of play. Before Nunu was stronger the higher you go because of a better understanding of jungle pathing and counter jungling but now he seems like a champ that does better against idiots that let you get your full combo on them.
If the make the initial w stun (not charged) and damage relevant so you can use it kinda like sion ult he could see some play. But even then sion is just better unless he gets gutted.
Hope it's ok i ask here. What's best for Poppy, Tri-force or Black Cleaver? I like getting just 1 damage item to feel important, but i can't really decide which is the best.

u.gg and op.gg are both saying sunfire => Iceborne. So I guess if you're ahead enough to greed on some damage Iceborne. If you're suuuper far ahead, Triforce.
as for if you do want to go one damage item, Black Cleaver is the better overall fit for poppy, BUT, she has mana problems without a glacial, so if you are rushing (which is typically the best for 1 damage + tank) the mana from the sheen actually goes a long way.
every time I've run black cleaver the damage feels great but I oom before forcing my opponent out of lane
Depends on your comp. For the most part you go Bami's cinder into iceborne. Unless, you have a low damage comp (rare in soloq especially with how bad tank junglers are) or you' got like first blood and some kills before first base and a super favourable matchup.

I only have 4 6300s left to buy, and I was saving up BE to buy a bunch of tokens which'd get me the 4 champions and a couple extras for the next couple years.
Oh well, I guess I get whatever I can buy with BE then.

I'm in the exact same boat, except with 4800's insead of 6300's. Maybe they'll surprise readd them during the offseason.

Ehh, guess I'll have to buy the remaining 11 champions normally. I don't get how I still don't have them all unlocked after playing the game for so long. New players probably have to feel awful even with all those free goodies they get from Riot.

I dunno about that outside of the fact that they have the entire roster to get at instead of the slowly expanding one we've had to deal with. The rune IP sink is gold. Tons of champions have gotten cost reductions and will continue to. Champs are unlockable through crafting.

Yeah, feel RIot should just give all 450IP champs at lvl 15, and then all 1350IP champs at lvl 30.

Yeah. When I’m playing on my LWI account, and someone asks if I can pick for them and I don’t have the champ I’m always a little embarrassed.
On an unrelated note, what happens now that ranked season is over? Do the queues just disappear? Or can you still queue for ranked, but you don’t gain or lose ranks?

OCE ranked queues are up again. You can lose and gain rank which technically can affect your mmr for your placements next season, however, decay is turned off.
For a comment that’s actually about the patch, I played against a team with a Pyke mid the other day and it was pretty successful. I think that after this patch Pyke building lethality now does comparable damage to Talon building lethality with comparable mobility and sneakiness. But Pyke has a fallback plan where if he falls behind instead of being useless he has a ton of CC and utility.
Pyke is pretty strong right now, I've seen him snowball out of control loads of times, and he's also incredibly slippery if you can't blow him up straight away. I've been banning him because he's obnoxious to play against.
Pyke is a chaotic hero to me, I can't make sense of him. He's kinda supposed to be a support but can be effective in almost any lane if he's played well enough. Super annoying if he gets fed.

There was an item you used to be able to get called a random champion permenant which, when crafted, would give you a random champion you didn't own of 4800BE+. It was intended for you to only be able to get it when you had 10+ qualifying champs unowned, but wasn't restricted initially. I think it was only around for the BE Emporium and Riot has since learned their lesson and aren't reintroducing them, since they were stupid BE efficient and there's effectively no BE sinks in the game anymore.
Yeah, on the other hand accumulating BE has become quite tedious. Grinding for a month now, I've found out I've only gotten BE for a single 6300 champ.
I mean, I'm not really complaining because I own almost every champion besides 5, but I noticed it because I didn't own Aatrox and it took quite some time to get him again. Also I have like 100 champion shards but not for the champs I don't own, wtf is that.
The math was posted on Reddit when the change was Announced and it was definitely nerfed, Riot buffed it to respond to the reddit post but I don’t know where it’s at now other than to say the eyeball test looks nerfed to me I gained ~15k BE From lvl 30 to 80 on my most played account and that’s with max free chests from January until the wow expansion came out
I bought both new champions but not the first week and some amount of mastery tokens that I can’t recall we’ll guess 10k) so about 37,600 or 752 BE/lvl

IIRC it was a buff if you played a few games a day because the FWOTD bonus is comparatively larger, and a nerf if you played a lot of games per day. Not sure on the exact threshold though.

I think it was level capsules give at least 9XX BEnow , and then there's the BE you get from FwotD.

Ummm I hope you know this and just meant you got 100s of champion shards but disenchanting shards is how you get blue essence. That's probably why it took you forever haha

I figured it out yesterday . I think I kept them around because I thought they could be used for something else, apparently not. I am not a bright man.

What I hate about his rework is that it encourages people to just run at the enemy team, hit a snowball and ult. If it misses you look boosted, if it hits you can blow up squishies. So boring to play against...

Haha, I was like damn, I think BE growth is bad but not that bad :D But yeah, keep the ones for champs u wanna get to Mastery 7, disenchant the rest.
Once the role specific rank comes out I’m just going to one trick Nunu jungle to Iron until The champion gets reverted or overbuffed or I get banned for inting in champ select
I can accept the meme ability where Snowball could be fun/funny but the new e is just mind blowingly bad why did it have to lose so much slow and range when it used to be point and click?
His passive should have no cd when proc’d from monsters, it would make him strong around objectives but that’s kinda his thing (was)
Then he wouldn’t need the stupid snowstorm on e to clear and they could give e some more range and revert it to a 2 second slow instead of 1
I hate it. I hate it so much. I just can’t do anything. Every game has hard feeders. Often multiple and whichever team has the least hard feeders wins. The actual players are totally irrelevant to game outcome. For my mental health, I need to do something else for a while. Preferably something with no teams to int or feed.
What other online games are out there that are: A) 1v1 (ie not like lol with feeeders) B) active ladders so you don’t wait forever for a game (not like brood war) C) mechanicaly active (ie not like chess or magic online) D) strategically deep (not like shooters)

Maybe everything should be merged back into the biweekly patch thread. Seeing only 4 pages makes me kind of sad.. How did this forum actually trickle down to this state anyway?
TL did little to drive traffic here. The good writers that LL had left elsewhere for paying positions. As a result the people coming in the door and staying were fewer than people leaving for, literally, greener pastures or getting over the game.
Pretty sure the off topic regulars are just people who met each other here but have no interest in talking about league ever anymore, so while separating them at the time was a bad idea merging them now is equally bad or worse

Twitch shooters like Quake is almost entirely strategy in high level play.
While it's not 1v1 Overwatch is pretty fun, you go weeks without people that intentionally throw and requires a lot of strategy in ranked.

LL is dead, I just come here because I don't enjoy posting on reddit anymore, people post so much rubbish it's insane, and the hive mind carries it to the top, thus it becomes 'true'. Right now there's a thread about how weak ADC are, and people legit talking about Brand as a legitimate support.
Everything that wasn't indepth discussion is better off on skype or discord and indepth discussion isn't really fun on here since there are no good players left.
Played EU Clash yesterday, we were able to play both games without any issues, but I think that the last phase after all picks should be a bit longer. In one of the games, both teams had people on wrong champs because we did not manage to make all the swaps on time. The client is buggy and laggy, people are not used to make swaps and when you also have to make your runes together with several swaps, shit happens, so I would say, add 20 to 30 sec extra time for the last phase.

The fact that Riot remade the entire client and its still a complete utter shitshow is insane.
I've been waiting for a copycat champion ever since Trickster's Glass.
On November 20 2018 01:37 AdsMoFro wrote: Looks disgusting.
I dunno. Think she looks pretty fun, unlike unfun champions like Zoe for instance her abilities look to be more about mindfucking your opponent than just being straight up rage inducing.[/QUOTE]
Seems like the most broken concept for a champion they've ever come up with. I'm excited to see how broken it is and how much they gut her it to compensate
She's basically morg mixed with leblanc. I love it. I'm pretty pumped about her, tbh.
I can't imagine with the 3 hit passive with the aoe proc and movespeed, the aoe root, and the resetting Q nuke that she doesn't have a great jungle clear. Guess it depends on numbers, but it seems like a kit designed with clearing in mind.
I'm not sure i understand the appeal of tank Neeko.
With her outplay potential i think she'll be built full glass cannon more likely than tank. Also as a tank the appeal of her tricks loses a fair bit of luster, imo.
Also, my body is so ready for the "small brain" flames. Will be amazing.
I've been playing a lot of Malphite over the last few weeks and I'm starting to think he is actually sleeper OP. Against heavy AD he's obviously a beast but in the lanes where he is traditionally weak you just go Arcane Comet+Scorch start Dorans Ring, pick up 1-2 more Rings then go into Protobelt make your lane opponent ragequit from the high skill press Q tactic and then gank midlane on ult cooldown.
Heimerdinger is literally the only champion I've had any issues with.
On November 20 2018 08:55 General_Winter wrote: With that plan, do you use the protobelt for engage or for additional waveclear?
It's cooldown is short enough to just use for what fits the situation, with AP you can clear waves pretty fast with just E and W. It gives some pretty delicious burst since it's fairly easy to land most bolts after an ult.
It's such a nice item on him when you're going for the AP centric build all the stats even in components just fit perfectly for it. You want health, CDR, AP, moar burst/ratios and it does it all.
I'm pretty interested in the new champ, my only concern is her most interesting ability being a passive might limit the creativity you could have with it.
If those numbers are legit she is hard busted. Thats like 4k damage with 600 AP and Electrocute / Dark Harvest. 1540 Base damage with 3.2 total AP ratio. Nasty.
For reference Leblancs Single target Numbers are 1475 base + 3.6 AP if she uses E>W>Q>R>Eroot which is her highest burst combo.
Easy one shot potential, all she has to do is hit root. And then she also has mad zoning / peeling complete with mad utility from her passive... imagine trying to dive a 4 item Tristana and you're not sure which one is Trist and which is Neeko. Gross.
