Hello!
I am "TempIrius", And I am currently a contributor for Liquipedia Overwatch wiki. But since I am a huge fan of the eSports scene of "League of Legends" I wanted to set up a LoL wiki!!
But since the League of Legends has a long history of eSports we need a big team to set up and create the wiki. we have currently around 10 people who have experience with editing pages on "Liquipedia", We are willing to help you to learn how to edit pages!
Currently there are also other LoL wiki's but we will aim to be the #1 LoL wiki, so if you have good ideas that we should add to the LoL wiki please say it in the comment section.
Also what some people might interest is that by editing pages, you could earn coins. I am currently at 2 gold coins and i have 4.9K edits (2016-12-07), and if you earn a Diamond Coin you will get a Team Liquid jersey with your own custom name on it!!
If you are interested in helping to set up the wiki, please fill in this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd8NyRbhF-XxRBydfTGGI7E9fC7utUPss2gk7_ac4fayjj97A/viewform?c=0&w=1

Anyone that's come from my tweets, thank you for your thoughts here. =D

As much as I like the idea in theory, in practicality I believe it's too late. There's already established wikis, which you've mentioned, that do an incredible job already. This community has degraded heavily and I don't think a wiki is going to help that.
Best of luck though.

I'm not sure what a wiki has to do with this community -- at this point liquipedia is a very distinct brand from the Liquid pro team and teamliquid.net community sites.
My biggest issue with the existing wikis is that esportspedia basically has no contributors and rips all of their content off esportswikis, but esportswikis still isn't updated as frequently as liquipedia is for even like sc2 ([insert dead game joke]). Esportswikis loads incredibly slowly though. As for the old leaguepedia, its content is sporadic (but appears to actually be run) and site navigation is nonexistent, while searching it is awful.

I would love to see it. I would also love to see the team/players take some interest in the site. That is something I appreciated about the others.

Speaking frankly, and I don't intend to come across as rude with this at all...
But I don't think you can be the #1 LoL wiki without RheingoldRiver. The amount of time she put into expanding the features of Esportspedia and now puts into Esportswikis is absurd.
There's a reason the majority of the Pedia people followed her to Wikis when Azubu screwed her over and Gamurs swooped in to save the day. She -is- the League of Legends Wiki.

Thanks for your input, person who is definitely not RheingoldRiver.

I agree that RheingoldRiver is an amazing person, who put a lot of time in esportswikis, But i believe if we get a good team with fresh ideas we could compete with esportswikis to try to become the #1 LoL wiki!

She -is- the League of Legends Wiki. and yet Esportspedia and Esportswikis are still poor imitations of Liquipedia. Liquipedia crushes in functionality and layout.

Can we just make a league of legends liquipedia so everyone shuts up about how great esportswikis is when it's awful in comparison?

I'm up to contribute. I watch too much League anyways. Might as well put it to good use.

I'll gladly try to do useful things. I'll finally be able to use up some of that LiquidLegends passion (tm)

lol.gamepedia is trash when it comes to game mechanics, champion info and stuff like that, leagueoflegends.wikia simply doesn't have esports info. If you could like, merge those 2, I think Liquipedia has a chance to be the best

Thanks for the advice :D We'll do our best to come up with fresh ideas and work it out in a perfect way to have a lot of information about esports & gameplay (mechanics, Champions etc.) But therefore we need more contributors so it could take a while before we can start, please share with people who could be interested in helping us!

I've filled it in.
I do want to say, that I won't be able to spend hours per day on it. I will probably limit myself to updating e-sportresults while I'm watching or something. Also, I have no experience with older/other liquipedia iterations.

Thats good, would be handy to have people filling in results, and if there are problems with editing there are people with experience that would like to help you :D thanks a lot of willing to help

I have always wondered why the LoL wiki scene seemed so dead in comparison to other games. esportswikis has a lot of old, outdated entries for players and teams, and it gets updated slowly. Does anything else exist other than that terrible leagueoflegends.wikia.com? Very awkward considering how big the game is. I guess it has to do with how much of the active fanbase is glued to reddit, and use it as their only view into the scene.
I would love a Liquipedia wiki, and I wouldn't mind helping out with putting in small entries and updates. But I don't think I'd be doing much else, don't have much time and I don't follow the scene as closely as I used to.
