Outrage for the snubbing of Tigers, Immortals and H2K goes here
|
I'm kind of worried about skt in their current form ):

Spicy hot pot versus Blank, leeeet's goooo?
Edit: Reminder that technically, the Tigers weren't snubbed. SKT automatically qualified via winning worlds. Tigers had their shot at KeSPA Cup. And I'm fairly sure that we knew about SKT's automatic entry to Katowice at the time of KeSPA Cup.

I really wanted to see Tigers have an opportunity to make up for last year.

i noticed they got completely locked out of iems this year, kind of a shame despite their good performances at worlds every year they're basically the redheaded stepchild of the non-wc regions

Link to the announcement that says SKT automatically qualified by winning worlds, because I don't think it exists.

I also remember people saying that it didn't matter if SKT won kespa cup cuz they already qualified for Katowice by winning worlds. Idk if it was ever officially announced, but people definitely had that idea in their heads.

If this tournament happend right now it will be QG vs RNG finals easy
QG: really solid performance so far they're the only LPL team that looks like it is trying
RNG: m a t a g o d has been freed from lomoman prison, and loopgod seems to be doing well in the Quinn/Poppy top meta (could change by the time IEM actually happens)
SKT: Duke is garbage, Wolf is garbage, Bengi looks like he's contemplating retirement every time he has to come in to save the team from Blank, Bang has a permanent hunchback now, and Faker is slowly turning into lomoman
Origen: can't even win domestically right now
ESC Ever: r i p a t h e n a
Fnatic: super boosted EU animals, Rekkles is worse-than-cop tier of p o w e r m u l t i p l i e r
TSM/CLG: lol na

I see return of China hype. IEM - Revenge of the china analysts.

I'm going to early bet on SKT/QG finals, outside chance of EVER.
People take early season games too seriously, particularly for SKT.

It's because KOO or KT weren't invited. Blank apparently is full of potential so I'm sure over a season SKT's coaching staff can turn him into something useful, but the loss of MaRin's shotcalling really hurts SKT (also apparently the loss of SKT really hurts MaRin, although he looks pretty happy after every LGD loss so maybe he put in a bet with Dade to see who could get paid the most while going for pure golfing strats). And with a stronger lineup SKT was able to hide how boosted Wolf is, because he was always able to play adequately enough and rely on the rest of the team to put them ahead, but now he's getting exposed hardcore.
Reinvigorated Matagod >> Wolf.
