Team Liquid has announced that they will swap the ADC role once more Yuri "KeithMcBrief" Jew will return to the bench and Chae "Piglet Gwang-jin shall start citing Piglet making progress with the goals that they have set for him and improved team dynamic
Dear Liquid fans,
After careful consideration, we have decided to use Piglet for this upcoming LCS Week. The staff and players collaborated on this decision, and we believe that it is in the best interest of the team. Keith has performed admirably during the past few weeks, making this change a difficult one to make. While everyone has seen the success we've had with Keith, Piglet has shown significant improvement within the team as well. We've made noticeable strides in team dynamics and communication with Piglet, and he's earned the right to show this off in LCS.
Our focus isn't just on this week or the next; it is to continue improving each week and to reach our best condition for the playoffs and ultimately, Worlds. We will take advantage of this period in the season before making a more definitive choice leading into non-LCS week. As always, we appreciate our fans' patience and support for us.
We love you guys. - Peter Zhang, Head Coach

While this move might be for the best for TL in the long run, I would be very surprised if it doesn't hurt them in the short term.

let's see what he can do.
|
Seeing as Piglet has been scrimming with them half the time anyways the past two weeks that they've started Keith, I think Week 7 Piglet will be much different than Week 2-4 Piglet, just in terms of play style and role.
|
I hope Piglet does well for both his and TL's sake. If TL screws up the next couple of games it's going to really hurt morale and public perception.

Oh, I hope that's a right move. Hope to see Piglet owning up in upcoming week GL for him

If he does well maybe they can swap between the two of them depending of the team they face, could be interesting if they have differents asset that both suit well with the team.

I'm really not a fan of teams switching out ad carries when one is clearly better. If Piglet is able to work with the team effectively now, I don't see how Keith can offer anything Piglet doesn't.

Probably a good time in their schedule to see how his synergy with the team has improved. Piglet himself has been looking a lot happier lately on his stream (and in general his play has even been better). I hope he comes back strong, since imo he is the best long term option out of the 2 for TL if they want to break into top 3 NA and make noise at worlds.

Good luck to Piglet. I hope the break has eased some of the pressure he felt.

Honestly I wish the pro teams had much more involved use of their subs. It would be nice to see different rosters depending on certain advantages/disadvantages. For instance let's say C9 replaced Hai with xyz one week because they are facing Gravity and Gravity has done a number or two on him a lot recently. It could be interesting to see a different squad fielded to negate that advantage.

West seems better at regaining Koreans' passion this season, maybe it will work out.

Really like how Teamliquid is treating the situation. Was half expecting to never start piglet again, but I'm happy that they're giving him another chance to really see who is better for the team.

Keith on TL is not a contender. They would just end up 4th at best since literally just Cop 2.0. Below average laning, low playmaking, but teamfights well and does what he's told to in the mid-late game.

I hope Piglet does step up - I still remember that translated interview where he said he wanted to be the best to prove CJ wrong when they didn't sign him, and he did. Perhaps he can recapture the same desire and motivation.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Piglet play again. Hopefully the communication issues are worked out and he can start showing some results.
|
Watching him stream, he seems much happier and seems to gel with the team (as far as you can tell with on camera interaction while streaming) much better. I really hope he succeeds, I honestly think he has the drive to do so (and I think that drive has caused some of the issues before). Not to mention Keith is obviously not of the calibre TL should aim for if they want to ever be higher than a mid tier NA team.

I hope Piglet grew up during this.
