A little bit about me...
Hello, I'm Philip 'bnu' Kim (@bnununu) and I work as a translator for Ongamenet. I translate the True LoL Show and pretty much anything that appears on the globalogn youtube channel.
I prefer to go by bnu online. I usually like keeping things low-key (I believe it is a good thing for a non-player worker to be relatively unknown within eSports. If people do not know you, it means you didn't cause any controversies! The spotlight belongs to the players and not translators or journalists like me. Just one of my philosophies when translating )
However, I did receive some great advice that I should learn more about the Liquid community, and I was personally interested in promoting some of the ognglobal content as well... sorry for the shameless advertising T_T I hope I can make it up to you by maybe answering some questions and getting to know the Liquid community more.
It was really cool to watch those shows where we could hear teams' ingame comms and random Kakao streams thanks to your translations, cool that you're getting payed now for this but I still dislike that OGN gets to choose what we get translated and what we don't :p Anyway thanks for your work, really like those OGN shows.

Well, I've been with ogn for 8 months or so now, but please do take into account that this video alone took up to 14 hours. First I need to translate, check for errors and historical consistencies (tournament names, proper nouns, spelling of names, etc), then I need to go back in and caption all the subtitles. Interpreting may be instant, but translating takes a huge amount of time.
Also, I can't speak too much on this issue else I may get into trouble, but it's not always 100% OGN's choice regarding what does and does not get translated. In fact, there's a lot of third parties that tells OGN what they can and cannot do... I understand there might be some frustrations but I promise you that I'll try my best; and if it helps, you can always talk to me (preferably on twitter, please!) about a video you particularly liked, and I'll make sure I run that up and see if I can get permission

...I'm going to say no just because of the sheer amount of time and effort that will take... sorry! But yes, I suppose I can if I wanted to. I'm a college student (Junior) as well, though. Hence the time & resource management issues

Wow, that's really cool of you! Altough since I don't know Korean it's hard to tell if I'd like a video before it's translated But good to know anyway.
