I wish I had time, so I could go this year at IEM :\ GE should win this pretty easily but I'm hoping EU/NA teams can make a surprise.
|
Podium probably going to be GE > CJ > SK, but maybe Cloud 9 can find their mojo and threaten the top 3.
|
I haven't seen any korea games but the GE seem to be unbeaten.

By Far.
GE probably gonna stomp everyone, hopefully one of Western teams can take a game off CJ for some hype. Not that I dislike China but pls don't let WE win a single game. Altough if they qualify for 2nd day I might go to Katowice just to get a photo with Spirit.
Actually is anyone from LL going to Katowice? Noone I know is going this year and I'm considering just staying home and LRing it, considering that tickets for Sunday and 3-day passes are sold out.

so LPL 1st place team cant go and replaced with CJ?
anyway CJ vs GE finals, i dont see how GE drop a game at all.
|
Hoping for some upsets of the asian teams and some EU vs NA action.

LPL schedules were already in place; way too much fuss to reschedule. Plus supposedly it'd require a couple of months at least for visas. There was never a chance of another LPL team showing up.

GE show? KR show? non-white people show?

If WE somehow manage to beat TSM, will reddit explode?

Glad Gambit is finding their groove right now leading up to this. Besides the Korean teams I think the rest are on a similar level and should be capable of taking games off each other. I expect GE and CJ to have a relatively easy time though until they meet.

The cool thing about this tournament is that it can act as a really good benchmark for the strength of Western teams. World Elite, CJ and GE is a pretty good spread of team skill.
I would have gone if CLG made it.

If international competition has taught me anything the top 3 will be GE WE CJ
|
Why would the Korean teams go to such trouble to watch Gambit take another IEM?

Yeah I know, I watch LPL. It just seems like whenever they're in an international competition WE suddenly become really good

They died last IEM Katowice because they were a patch behind morgana support which was just lomo as fk ~_~
+ Show Spoiler [LPL spoilers] +To be fair they did 2-0 iG and aluka/ninja didn't even look terrible so that's cool. Still expect them to get rekt.
But still Aluka is a motherfucking LPL champion so he'll probably destroy everyone

Aluka played against Pokemon and Zz1tai.
