League of Legends Japan League 2015 (Owned and operated by SANKO Corp. Ltd) hereby announces that the winner of the first season of the 2015 LJL will become the Japanese representative at the International Wild Card Invitational.
The IWCI will become the first time Japan will participate in an official League of Legends tournament. The IWCI winner will receive the right to participate in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), a world-wide tournament. The LJL Season 1 Grand Finals (3/29/2015) looks to become a historic event, with both the season title and a chance to stand on the world stage up for grabs.
About the International Wild Card Invitational (IWCI, owned by Riot Games, Inc)
The IWCI will be held in Istanbul, Turkey on April 24-26, 2015. Turkey, CIS, Oceania, Brazil, Latin America, and Southeast Asia will join Japan in a seven-team official Riot Games tournament. The winner will earn the right to participate in the Mid-Season Invitational.
About the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI, owned by Riot Games, Inc.)
Held from May 7th to May 10th in North America, the MSI is a new tournament being held for the first time. Held in between the Spring and Summer seasons, it will feature the winners from America, China, Korea, Taiwan, Europe, as well as the IWCI victor, for a total of six teams.
