Hi everyone! Welcome back! Today we'll be interviewing Snake's Flandre "Saint Gun Brother" after his victory over King.
Flandre: Hi everyone~ I am Flandre.
I see you're very young. Before we begin the interview, can I ask you how old you are this year?
Flandre: 17~
Alright. I see. Just pretend like I didn't ask. You played really well as Maokai in the last game. Your performance was very consistent, as usual. In the first game, your loss to King was a bit unfortunate because you did have a small advantage in the beginning. They were able to turn the game around against you. You played as Kassadin in that game and you were able to play him pretty well from early to mid game. It seemed like you fell off later on though. Could you explain?
Flandre: Mainly, I feel like it's because the early game was a little bit off tempo. Dragons were taken away by our opponents. When they were getting their fifth dragon, we knew we had to go for it since we were really lacking with that objective.
After your first game, your team probably made some changes. I noticed there were definitely some noticeable changes in the second game.
Flandre: Yep, we really tried to focus their jungler.
Facing King is not something unfamiliar to you. In last year's LSPL, you were two teams that constantly had to face each other. When playing them today, did you feel a little more relaxed? Or did you feel more pressure?
Flandre: The pressure was pretty big.
Why is that?
Flandre: When we played them before, we always lost.
During the LSPL? I see. When you met with them, you must not have been able to show your strengths as a team. But in this year's LPL, you seem to be performing better. Before this, Snake has won all their games 2-0 but today, it was 1-1. And Snake managed to beat teams like WE and EDG, which are really strong teams. Are you satisfied with where your team is right now in terms of performances?
Flandre: I feel like it's all pretty great.
What about in terms of yourself?
Flandre: I've been okay.
I can see that you have higher expectations for yourself. For your position in top lane, where do you think you need to improve?
Flandre: Our team is mainly lacking in experience.
Like what Flandre mentioned earlier, these new teams in the LPL aren't necessarily lacking in skill or mechanics, but what they do lack is experience. But Snake is performing really well. We really hope that you'll continue to work hard.
Flandre: Thank you.
I want to ask what your ultimate end goal is for this year.
Flandre: It's still to keep our record and stay in the LPL.
There will be a lot of games coming up so you'll take it one step at a time, right?
Flandre: Everyone will work hard~
Work hard~ good point. Let's cheer for all our players and teams!
