Hi everyone! Welcome back. I'm Bao bao. Next to me is the team who just achieved their victory over VG - Gamtee's mid laner Leo. Say hi~
Leo: Hi everyone. I'm Gamtee's mid laner Leo.
This last game wasn't easy. In the early game, it seemed like your opponents were actually ahead and managed to pick up a few advantages. Were you panicking? Were you thinking you were going to lose another game to ViCi?
Leo: No because our team comp relied mostly on late game. In addition, our Rumble was a good pick against Sivir.
I saw the first game and it was a bit of an unfortunate loss. During the rest period in between games, what kind of changes did you guys make? I felt like in the second game, you were able to show your strengths.
Leo: We just played a more stable game. We didn't try to play too hastily because the champions we chose all depended on late game.
I see. So we can say taking steady steps is also a sort of strategy. In the first game you played, you chose Fizz. In one skirmish, you got a triple kill. This is really good for your late-game development. But what happened in the end? It seemed like you weren't able to perform correctly.
Leo: Because our opponent had Janna, who can easily protect them. Their AD was Sivir, who had a lot of support behind her. It wasn't easy to go in on them and get out. As soon as we went in, they were able to sustain against us.
Even though you had a strong champion, you didn't have a supportive environment. But in this last game, you managed to get Xerath.
Leo: Yes. Xerath can just hide behind his teammates. Our Rumble is also great in team fights. We had two people on the front-lines so me and Corki could hide behind them and put out damage from there.
Team composition is incredibly important. Making a small change can cause immediate results. Now you were able to get your advantage from mid to late game and catch up.
Leo: And our Janna was able to get an ulti off [reference: Janna used ulti after Jarvan trapped two people in his ulti]. After we got baron buff, we just pushed towers.
Could you tell us who was shot-calling in this last match?
Leo: The jungler. But we all talk a bit and make decisions together.
Now I really feel like this is a strength of teamwork. Now your matches were 1-1 and this is the LPL's first 1-1 record thus far. It's really not an easy thing to do. The rest of the matches have been 2-0 victories. Today, we can say this is a victory for Gamtee.
Leo: Yes, yes.
You must be pretty happy, right?
Leo: It's alright..
You can let out a breath of relief but later on, you have to work harder. Congratulations again~ thank you Leo for interviewing with us today!
