Welcome back to League of Legend's LPL Spring Season~ I'm BaoBao. Next to me, I'll be interviewing the very powerful ADC of IG - Kid. Why don't you say hi to everyone first?
Kid: Hi everyone. I'm IG's ADC Kid.
Even though you're called "Kid" I feel like you pretty much a veteran of the LPL. We can say your journey has been pretty steady. In addition, IG has some new players including their new Korean players, and a lot of people feel as if Kid is even stronger. What do you think?
Kid: I feel like my mentality is a little better than before.
Better than before? So speaking of your new players brings up a few questions for us:
1. IG fans are probably thinking - eh? Everything seems pretty well-suited with the addition of these strong players.
2. Now my second question includes the question of communication and your synergy with one another since before this, you have never played together on the same team. How do you feel about the synergy on your team right now?
Kid: It's okay because League of Legends is a game that doesn't require that much communication. Because if you know what you're supposed to do, it'll turn out fine. Our very basic communication is still okay.
It depends on your mutual understanding of the game, right? Speaking of Kid as an ADC, I realized from last week to today, Kid's performance has been nearly flawless. In the last few games, you had an 11/0 record on Corki. A gorgeous record. Including the first few minutes, you were losing 0-3. At the time, did you start losing confidence?
Kid: Not really because our team comp worked better towards late game so I told my teammates if we remain steady, then we can get there.
Late game. I saw that Kid was definitely able to accomplish this. We saw in this overall tournament that even when your team is behind, you are not behind and you're even ahead in kills. So I feel like as an ADC, you've done an excellent job in this aspect. Now in terms of the competition, who usually shot-calls?
Kid: Everyone talks. The people who talk more often and say what to do are KaKAO and Kitties. The rest of us don't usually shot-call.
Now in that last baron "fight" we can say you won a couple of kills~ [reference: their entire team just camped baron pit and waited for people to get caught out, which resulted in kills]. Who's idea was this?
Kid: Kitties' idea.
Oh wow--Kitties' idea? So brave! But I noticed the results were really good. Including that mid lane skirmish--which was great timing--it was a 5v3 and you were able to get a triple kill. It seems like, in that aspect, you were able to turn an unfavorable situation around. I feel like one of IG's strong qualities is their synergy together and this is with the addition of all these new players. Doing this isn't easy! How would you rate your teammates?
Kid: 70%.
Where's the other 30%?
Kid: The other 30% was lost in mistakes. We had too many.
From my perspective, I felt like you already played quite beautifully. But as a professional player, I feel like you must ask a lot from yourself. Later, you'll play VG. They're a very strong team and before they even entered the LPL, there were a lot of expectations on them as a team. Your next game is on Sunday - do you have any way of dealing with them?
Kid: We're just going to play our usual style.
Alright~ cheering for IG also means cheering for Kid! We hope you are able to continue performing. Thank you for interviewing with us, Kid~
