I'm sure there was a lot in play behind-the-scenes that led to their decisions (motivation, relationships, etc), but looking at Origen and Fnatic right now, I can't help but feel the same way. It seems like Yellowstar could have gone to Alliance with Rekkles and this could've just been Fnatic's new roster.

The point of xPeke leaving was never to get to play with other team mates but to start his own organisation.

Fnatic was going to bench Soaz either way, so that's not quite true.
Haha, haha, haha ...no. I would take sOAZ over kev1n at any point in time. sOAZ has way more playmaking potential.
kev1n is also a very solid toplaner, but xPeke and sOAZ have been playing together for the past few years. I think this was also influencing his decision at least in some ways.

They were both bad this last season. I would have gone with a fresh soloq talent. Maybe Thaldrin or Warrior Lady, just to see if you can develop new talent. There's no real risk anyway, they will be number one in challenger either way.

So let's compare stats: soaz: 4.9kda 59kills 51deaths 192assists 344gpm 8058minions 12 champions played kev1n: 3.9kda 68kills 56deaths 151assists 330gpm 7531minions 10 champions played source kev1n sOAZ
So kev1n has more kills but soaz has way more assists. plus the fact that soaz has a more teamfight oriented playstyle and he has played with peke over 3years. furthermore soaz has a more diverse championpool, more gold per minute and 500 more minions (all regular season stats).

you allready have a botlane in mithy and niels which needs to find its groove. plus amazing in the jungle, who by the way has a more brawling and carry style in comparison to cyanide. he needs to synergize with peke and the rest too. overall i get the sense that peke looked for something to build and rely on and found it in soaz.
wasn't there a player named cassadar in their roster? i think he was a "soloqueue talent" and they tested him. apparently he didn't fit the team. so that's that.

I didn't say that. i just reasoned why soaz could've been picked over kev1n.
