Chinese teams were in Shenzhen and Koreans will get invites most likely. And it's first Aussie team in IEM circuit, gotta give SEA a chance even if TPA are going to smash bracket most likely.
Even though, WE as currently only representative of LPL/OGN looks kinda sad.

Well the LMS teams are the obvious favorites, but it will be interesting to see if the other teams can compete with them.

Inb4 IM invited from Korea. It's what they did last year, kept every IEM regional then invited bullets to world championship.

So the only Korean team going to IEM worlds will be down to the Korean fan vote? That's kind of lame. I was hoping for there to be at least a chance for one of the Korean teams to qualify for the tournament itself.

Will be interesting to see if the korean teams will be as dominant as last year or we can see the first signs of the korean exodus

Well, technically Frost lost chance to qualify by themselves so Korea could have 2 spots instead of letting Zzitai 1v9 Fnatic.

12th iteration of Xenics pls. Then everyone gets poached by other IEM teams.

Cool for Oceanic, but no China or Korean teams makes me sad.

So does this mean we won't have any Korean team qualify for the IEM WC? Will the Korean team be invite only or will there not be one?

Carmac knows how to run business.
I guess, we will get CN/KR invites. Only question is other two invites, will there be some kind of fan vote or no. C9 winning IEM kinda kills hype for Western teams possibly being voted in general.

That's what i'm scared of :< In all honesty, inviting teams who lost in previous IEMs (TSM, ex-[A], CLG, Roccat, UoL) will be awks in general. But, meh. It leaves us TL open though.
Inb4 Brazil invited, Australia, Korea and penguins from Antarctica to make it real World Championship.

You're right, we need copenhagen wolves and coast to ensure a fresh environment for world championship :>
And I wouldn't object to a random BR team, it'd be fun.

TL and SK are obvious choices though.

So I don't follow OCE very well but is this the TPA team that will be fielding Toyz and Stanley?
AHQ was very exciting to watch at worlds and I'm interested too see if they'll make it to the IEM world championships.

No Korean team...? I hope it isn't, but this IEM WC might be the worst since League's started. I'm from Australia, and I don't want our teams to be given spots at IEM, they're not high level enough. We rarely get any international competition, so invites to regions like Oceania or Turkey (Brazil beat Alliance so who knows :^)) are upsetting. I get that it's meant to be a "world circuit" but looking at the potential of IEM's and then what we get is just depressing.

...man, this looks like a pushover tournament for TPA/AHQ. Even as a Taiwanese fan, this is a bit... Ah well, at least it's happening in my proverbial backyard.
