All images and rosters are provided by the Chinese LPL website you can visit above. Carnivorous Sheep helps me breakdown and give our initial thoughts on the starting line-ups:
The two-time defending and reigning champions of China, EDward Gaming, will be starting their new Koreans Pawn and Deft. With U, one of the breakthrough players of 2014 on the bench, he will be joined by veteran FZZF. Mouse looks to be the team's starting support for the first game(s) of the season.
OMG, who made possibly the biggest transaction in League of Legends history with their signing of two-time Worlds runner-up Uzi, will start the season with minimal surprises. With the roller coaster ride they had with the support position in 2014, they'll be giving Cloud another shot at confirming his place as OMG's starting player.
Speaking of two-time Worlds runner-ups, Star Horn Royal Club will be bringing three-time LPL champion Namei into the fold. With Uzi leaving for OMG, Namei will be given the reigns to possibly be the star carry of the squad. Outside of the AD carry position, SHRC bring back the same starting line-up that lost 3-1 to Samsung White in the S4 Grand Finals.
LGD, after signing both Korean top lane players Flame and Acorn, have apparently decided to start out with Acorn at top. With Imp coming over from Samsung White, he will partner up with top Chinese support and captain PYL in the bottom lane.
iG is in a similar position to LGD, having three top tier Koreans but only two starting spots to use them in. With Save (top), KaKAO (jungle) and Rookie (mid) on the roster, it looks like they'll be starting out with Save and KaKAO as starters. Zz1tai, iG's long-time mid lane, will be getting the nod as the starting mid lane over the 2014 OGN Champions Summer winner.
No surprises with M3's roster, but I would like to point out even though no one organization can have two teams in LPL, M3's uniforms are exact copies of World Elite's, except purple. M3, if you didn't know, was World Elite's Academy team before they were forced to 'break' from the organization.
Oh, and M3 is just WE flipped upside down.
And, yes, that is the New York Yankees logo on their jackets.
I guess Team King also are fans of the New York Yankees.
Wuxin (NoHeart) is said to be one of the strongest new ADCs, so expect Team King to play around him.
Snake, getting on the Korean-Chinese hybrid train, will be playing two Koreans, Beast and Ella, on the starting roster. Beast is the more well known of the two, playing in OGN Champions on Bigfile Miracle alongside Fusion's Huhi and Dignitas' Core. Their uniforms do not have the Yankees logo at posting of this news.
Subject to change.
World champions Mata and Dandy have found a new home on Vici Gaming. Mata will be teaming up with former LMQ AD carry Vasilli in the bottom lane. Heart will be in a sub position, or possibly be sent off to LSPL. The biggest change to their starting roster is that they'll be starting HeTong in the mid lane over the expected Zun.
World Elite will be starting former Samsung Blue standout Spirit in the jungle, and former Prime member Ninja has kept his job as the mid lane. Most importantly, Styz, who was banned for a year (his sentence was later reduced to half a year) due trying to illegally get out of contract at LGD, will be back as their starting AD carry along with Conan in the bot lane.
Yes, their name is Energy Pacemaker. The former LPL squad returns after a fairly relaxing run through the LSPL qualifiers.
And, with that, Gamtee has won the best uniforms in all of League of Legends. They didn't need fancy signings, dramatic roster moves or titles -- their uniforms win for them. Congratulations, Gamtee, you have won League of Legends.
