Pretty sure 9JX was just someone's joke name.
hard = 9jx = family puss. xj9 was never on this team, 9jx was a joke name.
And it's a good thing he isn't too, I don't see someone with his mentality, regardless of skill, doing much for an aspiring team.
From the names listed this sounds like team Great White Hope NA.
Cloud 9 keeping it real and trying to develop local talent. Someone needs to do it.

Yeah, tbh that is one of the major reasons I like Cloud9 so much as an organization and a team (in LoL, at least).

Excited to see how this new team fairs up
They've been shaky in ranked 5s but I feel like they can shape up and be a beast squad.
Cloud9 seems to have a knack for finding and refining talent. Hoping to see LOD and Yusui succeed. Also never heard of Solo or Hard so that's always a treat after having followed the scene for awhile.
Yusui is a good player, LOD back to AD this team has potential.

Really interested to see how this turns out. The success of Curse Academy seems to have opened Jack's eyes to the potential profitability of a Challenger team.
I think we can say with certainty that if this team does well and at least places top 3 in the Challenger scene, then most every other organization will pick up a Challenger team and start fostering talent of their own.
Looked a bit shaky today in EPS too, lost 0-2 against TDK (Seraph+Narakyle+3 americans).
Hopefully they'll be able to pull it together soon, they do have great potential.

Yeah, not the strongest showing, but they are the newest of all the Challenger teams. They're also building from the ground up instead of fielding players with experience (i.e. Seraph on TDK).
I'll hold off with any judgement for at least a month - we'll see how they develop.

Cloud9 has previously backed two Challenger teams: C9Tempest (NA) and C9Eclipse (EU). The Eclipse roster is now H2k, at least those that remain. This is different because they put this roster together themselves, which is nice, but C9 has been supporting the Challenger scene all along.
Oh I know they've been a part of the Challenger scene for a long time, but the part about them putting the roster together themselves is really the most important part. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Curse was the only other organization who did that.
I do believe you are correct about that, at least as far as the LCS Era. I think the reason being that they were one of the few organizations that held onto players, in the same capacity, once they were removed from the main roster. Everyone else takes on a coaching/management role or leaves, meanwhile Curse actively tried to find the right players to compliment the ones that got benched. That is definitely something that I think more organizations (with the resources to do so) should do.

Pretty sweet. Sad my Shen jungle couldn't impress ;_;
