You are so wrong if you really think the only thing wrong with SC2 is that it's not free. Korea is not a third world country, and people actually spend money on LoL (most people doing ranked games probably spend more on LoL than a SC2 player on his game).

I don't see why you'd be any surprised if SC2 PL was to be shut down. No audience, less than 10k stream viewers.. SC2 is dead in Korea, just deal with it.

I personally don't follow LoL that much and I think the game is pretty boring (game itself, not playing with friends or watching) but growing eSports scene is a good sign. Its not like suddenly no one will play Starcraft 2. Starcraft 2 is competition in 1v1, for LoL you need a good team to compete etc. I think its good news... I don't care about hashtagESPORTS, I care about SC2.

I personally don't mind at all. I would be happy with just having GomTV productions like we had for the most of WOL.

No audience, what streams have you been watching? The studio was full for OSL every night so far and PL crowds are a lot better than 5 months ago. I'm really tired of this exaggerated negativity.

But the point is that you start out playing it for free, then once you start to get really into it, then you spend money. Compared to Starcraft 2 where you need to buy the game just to be able to play it anywhere.

Surely a high percentage of Pro Koreans would've have switched to Starcraft 2 keeping the player base and viewer base the same to the new game. Compared to the incredibly hardcore LoL that Koreans now love? Personally I think Sc2 is far harder then BW in every aspect that wasn't just that bad because they couldn't make it any better back then. Watching those old BW matches I am just struck by how slow all the units move and how few units there are to control, how few abilities they have to use etc.
